Sandy is a transfer student at Uva Academy. They only show consistent interest in their STEM track classes, or anything else that might prove to people they are a tortured, undiscovered genius.

Ren is an editor and occasional reporter for the Lumiose Press. Originally, though, she is from Unova. She finds herself unwillingly uncovering the strange secrets behind Team Flare's research.
Koji (Ethan) Nagato

Ethan is a champion-ranked trainer who travelled most of his childhood because of his father's job. Trouble seems to find him, and he finds plenty of it while staying in Lumiose with friends.

-> Works as a lab aide in Sinnoh after graduating from Uva, works as a biology teacher when they eventually move back to Paldea

Important Relationships
-> Nemona: Sandy's "first friend" in the region. Their fathers work together at the Rotom Phone Company and encouraged them to connect before starting their fall semester. They aren't immediately friends but do grow closer of the course of the semester because of Nemona's steadfast support. She reminds Sandy that they are, in fact, a likable person. Sometimes.-> Arven: Seeks Sandy out when he learns they're a transfer student who seems to only be interested in biology. He wants them to help him with his search for the mystica. He offers them full access to his father's notes, and his copy of the violet book with additional notes in it, in exchange for their help. The two become close friends by the end of the semester.-> Penny: Sandy encounters Penny in the dormitory laundry room. After a brief discussion on various game emulators, the two begin talking casually. Eventually, they begin hanging out while Sandy isn't busy on campus. They enjoy trashy anime, manga, strategy games, and online forums where they can argue with people. Penny even encourages Sandy to make a fursona at some point.-> Jacq: Sandy's advisor and mentor. They eventually become his student instructor for the spring semester. Sandy enjoys cleaning up Jacq's messes because it makes them feel more important/productive. He sees how passionate they are about biology and provides them with helpful advice whenever he can. Later in life, the come back and work alongside him as an adult and the relationship is still harmonious.-> MISC.:
- Sandy gets along with most of the faculty at the academy, but favors Jacq and Tyme because they like their classes.
- Clavell is concerned about Sandy initially due to the nature of their transfer (they were failing a handful of classes at their previous school in Jubilife). They seem aloof to him at first, but he realizes they're just a student trying to find joy in academia again.
- Raifort thinks Sandy is a snotty brat. Sandy thinks Raifort is sort of scary and doesn't enjoy her class.
- Sandy is very critical of professor Turo because of their proximity to Arven. However, they admire his research and work. It makes discussions about the professor a bit complicated sometimes when Arven brings him up.
- Once they encounter them, Sandy typically gets along with most of the members of Team Star. Ortega gives them the most grief, but it's tolerable. They enjoy Mela's company the most of the group.
"Romantic" Endeavors
-> Eventually, after leaving the region and coming back (humbled), Sandy and Arven do officially begin dating.
-> While they're in school together they are very close but never give anything a title. The two are a bonded pair after the events of Area Zero, but they're weird teenagers who don't know how to talk about their feelings.
-> As adults, they're a little better at it. They reconcile when Sandy returns and are moved in together in less than a year.
Pokemon Team + Ace Pkmn
-> Sandy's ace is their Liepard, Hubble. He was given to them by their father when they were 10, and Hubble was still a Purrloin.
-> They consider themself a dark-type specialist.
-> Their Seviper doesn't join their team until they're an adult. They find it while doing field research as a lab aide.
-> Hubble is often out of his ball. He only seems to like Sandy's company though.

-> 27 years old at the beginning of her story.
-> Very anxious and jittery on the surface; she is a people pleaser to an unhealthy extent and is a perfectionist. When alone, she is cynical and compulsive.
-> Loves pinks, browns, soft yellows, and cream colors. She is a very feminine lady!
-> Virgo sun, Cancer rising, Taurus moon
-> Graduated from Opelucid University with a degree in history. Picked up a minor in journalism to please her mother-- this ends up helping her find work at the Lumiose Press.
-> Was a competitive runner in high school and college. She still runs as a hobby. It helps her disconnect and unwind.
-> Hides her southern accent (she was raised in Floccesy town) very well because her Kalosian mother trained her to do so.
-> Deeply yearns for disorder, chaos, and freedom but rarely does anything that would deviate from her "boring" life.
